Book Review: The Happy Ever After Playlist
When you find a book that is so addicting, so encompassing, so hilarious, so well-written, that you can’t put it down and you sacrifice sleep for it, you know you have found a winner.
The Happy Ever Playlist by Abby Jimenez is the story of Sloan, who is in a deep depression after losing her fiancé to a motorcycle accident. She’s become numb to her sorrows after two years, when suddenly a random lost dog flies into her life and changes everything.
Sloan finds the dog’s owner, Jason, and agrees to take care of him until he returns from a two week trip, but what follows is something neither one of them (or us) could have predicted.
You guys. YOU GUYS! I don’t even read romance, but I can already tell you that this book is going to be one of my favorites of the year. The characters are so real and alive, the flirty banter is to die for, the plot pulls you along at record speed, and the writing just sucks you completely in to Jason and Sloan’s world.
This book absolutely wrecked me. It filled me with love and tore me apart and glued me back together. Ugh. So, so good. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up. It can be your quarantine happy ever after. ❤️
