Book Review: Darling Rose Gold
If you like dark and twisted then this is the book for you.
Not gonna lie, this one disturbed me quite a bit. Still not totally sure how I feel about it, but I know that the book held my attention and was compulsively readable, even if it was wicked at every turn.
Darling Rose Gold is the story of Rose Gold Watts and her reunion with her mother Patty who is just being released from five years in prison. You didn’t think this was a tax evasion story, did you?
Patty was convicted of aggravated child abuse, for poisoning Rose Gold her entire life and making her and everyone around them think she was sick (Munchausen syndrome by proxy). Rose Gold decides to open her home for her mother, offering her a place to get back on her feet. But is this a story about second chances? Or something more…
